And then 20 more disabled persons in Palawan now enjoy mobility, and their island's beauty...

20 new wheelchairs were donated by the Rotary Club of Makati Bel-Air (RCMBA) in cooperation with One World Institute for the disabled and elderly in Palawan, through the Rotary Clubs of Puerto Princesa, Narra and Narra Central.

RC Makati Bel-Air Past President Charo Yu, who is also the District Chair for the Elderly and Disabled, personally brought the wheelchairs and turned them to the 3 Palawan club presidents during the induction ceremonies at Narra and Narra Central last August 15, and to Puerto Princesa beneficiaries during the District Assembly at Asturias Hotel on August 16, 2008.  The wheelchairs were flewn in to Puerto Princesa courtesy of Philippine Airlines' Pres Bobby Lim of RC Makati West.  Representing RCMBA during the turnover are PP Charo Yu, CP Sonie Zamora and PP Rachel Ocampo.

More wheelchairs will be made available by RCMBA to the District for distribution.
