The Rotaract District Committee and the Club Presidents of District 3830 for the Rotary Year 2008-2009 held their first meeting last July 20 at District Rotaract Chair Lilibeth De La Cruz’s residence in Alabang to discuss the activities for the First Quarter. In attendance were the Rotaract clubs of:

KAPWA (RC Parañaque Metro)
Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa (RC Muntinlupa North)
Paragon (RC Parañaque East)
SIBAMP (RC Parañaque Palanyag)
Tramo Dos (RC Parañaque Palanyag)
PUP Taguig (RC Taguig)

The meeting’s main agenda is the celebration of Nutrition Month 2008, which will be held on the 26th of July at Barangay BF Homes, Parañaque City. The quarterly Feeding Program was originally initiated by RAC KAPWA and later on adopted by the District. This July, 11 other Rotaract Clubs will join RAC KAPWA as the event will feature simultaneous programs for the mothers (cooking demonstration on preparing low-cost and nutritious food) and the children (medical and dental check-ups, film showing, storytelling, coloring activities, and games). The beneficiaries belong to lower income bracket families.

Announcements were also made for future events such as the District Rotaract Interact Assembly (DRIA) on August 23, District Rotaract & Interact Advisers’ Council (DRIAC) on September 27, and the 5th Asia-Pacific Regional Rotaract Conference (APRRC) on November 19-23.
