We had a MOA signing with Noordhoff Craniofacial Foundation Phils., Inc. (NCFPI), represented by its President, Glenda H. de Villa, D.M.D. and Pasayena Foundation, Inc., represented by its Chairperson, Nelfa Delfin Trinidad.
Our project is called “Sweet Smile” where we provide free operation to craniofacial (surgery that deals with congenital and acquired deformities of the skull, face, and jaws) and clef lip and palette patients. Aside from the free surgery, beneficiaries are also given dental treatment, up to speech and hearing therapies. Next week will be the launching of the project, together with Mayor Peewee Trinidad, initially to benefit members of depressed communities of Pasay City.
We do believe that this is a very good project and RCMF is planning to expand our coverage to neighboring towns and cities as well. Even Mayor Maliksi of Imus is interested and wants us to help them with it. But, of course, we will definitely have our “Sweet Smile” activities in our own communities here in Muntinlupa. |

We invited Ms. Susan K. of Bantay OCW of TV Channel 4 and her crew to our club meeting as part of our PR initiatives. As they say, “kill two birds with one stone”. So, myself together with RGPs Totoy, Lilia and Menchu, had an instant TV interview regarding RI’s Literacy Month and the project called “Saang Landas Ka Patungo, Bata?”. The program Bantay OCW is telecast not only nationwide, but is also shown in Hong Kong, Japan, China and the U.S. How about that for PR?
Right after the meeting, I rushed to RC Muntinlupa City Center’s induction, our baby club. |

We had a very successful launching of the RI Literacy Month and the project “Saang Landas Ka Patungo Bata?” These were done at Parañaque, Las Piñas, Taguig and Muntinlupa Areas. For the Muntinlupa Area, it was held in Sucat. Together with the launching we also conducted a medical, dental and feeding with about 500 people present, comprising of children 5 and below with their parents. There was a sudden downpour of rain, but it didn’t deter the successful completion of the activity, which finished before 12 noon.
Immediately after, we have to rush to another project for our youth. In partnership with the National Chess Federation of the Phils., RCMF sponsored a chess tournament by donating chess timers, called “1st Saturday Chess Tournament” held at the 4th Floor Perez Building, Doña Soledad St. in Better Living, Parañaque City. It was well attended by about 100 participants, both young and adults (male and female).
After the stressful events, we were rewarded by Governor Boyet by giving us birthday celebrants of July, August and September, a glamorous party. Yeheey!!!
Well, looking forward for more heartwarming activities. Mwah to all! |
